Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing after your journey and enjoying the calm atmosphere near Lake Victoria.
Day 2: Journey to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, depart Entebbe for a scenic drive to southwestern Uganda. En route, stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for a classic photo opportunity and a fun demonstration of the hemispheric water experiment. Proceed to Masaka for a traditional Ugandan lunch before continuing to Lake Mburo National Park.
Upon arrival, enjoy a memorable boat cruise on Lake Mburo, offering fantastic views of crocodiles, hippos, and abundant birdlife, including the African Fish Eagle, Saddle-billed Stork, and Abyssinian Ground Hornbill. After the cruise, check in to your lodge for a relaxed evening surrounded by nature.
Day 3: Game Drive & Nature Walk
Begin your day with an early game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes. Expect to encounter zebras, impalas, topis, elands, buffaloes, and possibly leopards and hyenas. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks in Uganda where walking safaris are allowed, making it a unique experience.
After lunch at the lodge, head out on a guided nature walk. Led by a knowledgeable ranger, this walk offers close-up encounters with wildlife and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 4: Return to Kampala with Cultural Stop
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. On the way, stop in Mpambire Village, famous for its traditional African drum-making. Watch skilled artisans handcraft drums using time-honored techniques.
Enjoy lunch in Masaka, then continue to Kampala. Time permitting, stop at a local craft market for souvenir shopping before your driver drops you off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
